Man, do I ever hear that. I'm currently in the middle of a "break up" that sounds similar - a friend showed some true colours that just make it so we can't really be friends. In my case the tricky part is saying, "I know you're exactly the same as you've always been, but I'm ending the friendship anyway." Or at least that would be the hard part if I had the guts to just tell the person in question!
