In other Silicon Valley news.

Chickens are now a status item. People buy them 20,000 dollar coops with solar panels. Feed them steak and organic salmon. And amazon even ships them chicken diapers!

And did I mention chickens need to have their diapers changed three times a day at a minimum cost of 10 dollars?

  1. Publix sells this stuff, BTW ... so try not to snicker too loudly.

PJ O'Rourke's question still stands: "Are you going to eat that or keep it as a pet?" :-)

  2. I'm still trying to figure out the moral dilemma of feeding them steak. And what does a chicken that's been fed steak taste like?

  3. Do the chicken coops at least have the number 4 in a circle on them to let you know that the owners understand the implications of what they're doing?

Of course, in the chicken coops with the number 5 in a circle on them, the owners already understand the nature of the zoonotic diseases they've accumulated by their folly.

Meanwhile, over in the chicken coops with the number 3 in a circle on them, the chickens have already been eaten and the owners are now pondering what to do with their other pets since they failed to eat the steak ...

I'll leave it to your imagination as to what a chicken coop with the number 9 in a circle on it might look like, but I reckon that it looks a lot like the flash freezing unit at Tyson Farms. :-)
