A few weeks ago I was freaked out by the noises I was hearing from under the house. I'd made plans a couple of times to go under there and investigate, but I'd gotten too busy. Then I'd forget until the noises started again.
Then about a week ago I was watering a noticed a black cat was going under the house through a weep vent that I haven't quite figured out how to close up because all the power stuff from my AC also is routed through that vent to under the house.
Now I'm not sure what to do. Chase him out, or hope he is chasing out the mice that certainly live under there. I mean, of all the scenarios - a cat is the best one. Right? Maybe it will keep out the monsters.
Also note this is a fairly retarded cat, because it literally got lost under my house for three days. And my house is probably the only house on the block that doesn't leave food out for their pets. I have "privileged bunnies". They fancy and have big screen TV. Not like that stupid homeless cat.
I only say it that way because a few weeks ago Mr S. noticed on the news that they were no longer calling strays - strays, but homeless pets.

I'd at least make sure it's not injured or dying.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a dead rotting cat under the house.
And a large mound of cat shit under the house isn't going to help either ...
ReplyDeleteBUT I WAS SO HOPING IT WAS A PYTHON
YOU COULD HAVE BEEN CALIFORNIA FAMOUS AND SUCH :-)
I don't know which one is more ridiculous.; California famous or Florida famous.
ReplyDeleteI was sort of hoping it was a python too.
ReplyDeleteDwan, it's not dead. It's very much alive. The other day it was sitting at my slider asking to get in. I guess it thinks it knows us now that it's been living under the house and knows everything we do. Like some weird live Google animal. Mr S. has already named it snowball 2.
I think Florida famous is better because there are less teeth.
We have plenty of RedNeckians with less teef. And we have a lot more screeching liberals at all our communista colleges.
ReplyDeleteYou've run circles around me logically. ;)
ReplyDeleteI still chose Florida - cause this.
Not all of Broward County is like Alabama ...
ReplyDeleteBut you'll be a lot safer if you pretend it actually is. :-)
