This 4th of July seems extra special.  It's worth noting just how close came to living under unapologetic socialism. For a while I was preparing for Bernie Sanders to win. For real. He had a really big following. I went to one of his rallies.

They always try to make socialism into soft socialism - but it always eventually turns into hard socialism because you have to force people to do things they don't really want to do.

Capitalism is the highest form of freedom, because you can always find a way to leave a bad environment as long as you have money. It allows you to vote with your feet.

The socialists almost over took us. It was really that close. I would not have bet things would turn out the way they did. I thought we were on an unchangeable path.  And I'm not crazy about all the things Trump does - but I believe capitalism lifts every one up.
