California owns you.

I've given up hope on knowing when this madness will end. I'm sure Jackie Speers won't be happy until she drives this company right out of business for the audacity of wanting to pay lower tax rates.

She's of the type of Democrat that no jobs are better than jobs that land in another part of the state. She should be thanking her lucky stars they didn't give California the giant middle finger and leave the state all together.

I hear Texas is romancing us.

  1. So, uh, lemme get this straight. A privately owned corporation will not be "allowed" to move it's location?

    Wow.

  2. Well... see. You are missing the nuance. They won't be allowed to "freely" leave. Or to put it another way - you can leave, just not uninjured.

Instead of doing something brilliant like matching the tax benefit - since the company has resided in that town for 50 years. Making up quite the bulk of their general fund. The elected official promises to make a living hell for them. A scortched earth play.

They don't see anything wrong with this and can't understand why companies are leaving the state in droves.

Corporations in California have now turned into hostages. Seriously.

  3. "Nice company you got there. Be a shame if anything happened to it, if you know what I mean and I think that you do...."
