Silicon Valley is in the throws of going supernova.

Some employees are rumored to hate the open floor plan at Apple's new $5 billion campus.

News flash - this is happening all over the Valley and I am super curious how this is going to turn out. I think - not well. For engineering departments this completely sucks because these people need to be able to think about complex issues and problems without all the distractions of an "open floor plan".

I mean, who wouldn't love having your last bit of privacy being taken away. Even if that does only involve three short walls called a cubical. Really that's all you have at a company.... right?

Silicon Valley is enacting a whole lot of rules that force employees to be less productive. It's sort of like a fad right now. And I'm not really sure what to make of it. Other than you know that can't work. You just don't know what the fallout is going to be.

All I want to know is whether the Apple UFO can reach cruising altitude without requiring rocket boosters ...

"Houston, we may have a problem."

Maybe Doctor WTF can go back in time to tell Steve Jobs to see a doctor ...

OH WAIT ... is that what Steve Jobs intended it for? :-)
