There's something living under my house....

And hopefully it's only a mouse. I'm not very happy about the whole thing because I've watched too many horror films and now Mr S. and I have to crawl under there. This is how every horror movie starts!

We've been under there twice. Once to lay cable and I forget why we were under there the second time. But it's a totally normal under the house kinda thing. But because I've watched so many horror movies I think it might be zombie rabid raccoons.

I mean it can only be like three things right? Mice/rats (most likely), opossums, raccoons? But it makes enough noise that I can hear it from inside.  So it must be big. It seems to be somewhere along my flexible heating hose. Because it sounds like really loud cellophane rustling around.

Man do I hate the underside of houses.

  1. If it's a skunk peroxide, baking soda, a little bit of dish soap to hold it all together and water will help.

  2. Riiiiiight. Skunks. I thought there was a 4th animal I should be worried about. Mr S. doesn't think it's skunks because he thinks we would smell that from the inside of the house. But if it's skunks I'm out. That is why you pay people. But thanks!

Mr S. almost hit a skunk with our good car and we literally started trying to figure out what we'd do. I think we settled on set it on fire. But really I think if you just park it in a field for weeks it will go away on it's own. Eventuallllllllly.

  3. The last time I had an animal under the house it was a possum, the live trap caught it.

  4. That was our next thing to figure out. It seems obvious now that we are going to have to make at least two trips under there. One to figure out the target and set sticky traps. Which I guess is going to be this weekend.

I mean, I know it's fine under there but my imagination makes me think it's zombies. Its the only possible explanation. Right?

No, it's just a three foot long alligator ...

Oh, wait, you're not in Florida. :-)

In Florida, it's a three foot long alligator, a nine foot long python, or if you're really, really lucky, it's a small family of cougars that escaped from the nearest wildlife preserve.

    Zombie rabid raccoons?

    So amateur level. :-)
