This is not a natural lake - it's a quarry lake. So the only thing that feeds it is rainfall. Before this year unless you knew it was there, you couldn't see it. Mr S. even thought I was crazy when I told him we had a lake and I had to drive him to a point he could see it.
After all the rain we've gotten though, it's a real lake now. You can see from the main highway coming into town and everything. There has really been an astonishingly large amount of rainfall this year. And now we have a cute lake. I bet the home values of the houses on that road just went up. Before it was just a crappy quarry hole. Now they have lakefront property.
