What do you mean robots aren't going to babysit our kids?!

Well, I don't have any kids, but you get the idea. Adorable home robot Kuri is being discontinued.

But the INTERNET SAID robots were coming to take our jobs, babysit our kids and wipe my ass when I get old!

Quite literally they were the worst threat to humidity only a few months ago. And yes, I'm still laughing at a lot of people. For the love of gawd that was a ridiculous time. Now that reality is starting to prevail, you know there are going to be a lot of sarcastic posts about how insane people were being. And me mocking their insanity.

It's kinda a bummer because I just wrote about this bot a couple of months ago, and it was sort of cute.

The cute robots are just to soften you up.

The actual robots that will be doing that will look like squids made to Black and Decker design specs, and they'll be just about as reliable.

So while they're babysitting you, you're babysitting them.

  2. From 1979! As a general rule here at the Snarkolepsy blog I don't watch anything before the year 2000. There are a few movies grandfathered in like Brazil or Airplane or 2010, but if it was made before TV standards went high def - I'm out.

Personally I want more well-intentioned sexism in my movies, no matter what video resolution they're in.

ESPECIALLY WHEN IT TRIGGERS CERTAIN PEOPLE FOR THE LOLZ :-)

BTW, "The Prisoner" is now on Amazon Prime -- it's some classic television from the 1960s that I enjoy despite some of the odd "special effects" ...

But just in case, if I see a weather balloon on the beach, it's my instinct to run away from it as fast as I can. :-)

For your New Television Resolution Experience, you can have this parody of "The Prisoner" from "The Simpsons" ...

OH WAIT IT'S NOT HIGH-DEF EITHER SUCKA HAHAHA :-)

  4. Hahahah. Okay - I will accept Dirty Hairy, Bladerunner and the Simsons. All grandfathered in. But not Bladerunner 2.

FYI - Mr S. lives this nightmare in real life.
