Swimming in the vast sea of shallow thinkers.

Politico says : "Make no mistake: Hacking the 2016 election was an act of war. It’s time we responded accordingly. "

Yet in 2014 Russia made 16 incursions into US air space. An actual act of war. No fucks given. You literally only find one page of references of it happening on Google.

The frustrating thing about the media is you literally can't even starve them to death.

There's this guy whose presence on an international flight can send certain governments scrambling to send the aircraft back to its origin country ...

He wrote some words that were a very bad idea at the time as well as now. These words aren't exactly defensible in the sense of good taste and reasonable behavior, but they are defensible from the points of Voltaire and Juvenal as well as from the perspective of far worse "Modest Proposals" in the past.

This apparently was scary enough that the person who is now the head of government in that country went out of the way to ban the guy from as much as arriving in the international transit area of any of that country's airports.

I think that guy's missing an opportunity for a new source of income: airlines paying him not to fly with them.

A few thousand a year not to fly on British Airways, a few thousand more not to fly on Lufthansa, yet another thousand or two not to fly on Ryanair ... just think of the magnitude of the alternate income streams for this guy!

Given that his most recent stunt probably cost that particular airline at least twenty grand, it would be highly cost effective for the airlines to agree to pay him not to fly with them pretty much ever.

But if certain NATO countries can respond to this guy flying into their airports, why the hell can't the US respond to Russian fighters flying over American air space?

    *crickets* :-)
