Little more my speed.

The blog has been really light on the robot side for a while. A few events I normally attend were canceled or rescheduled. But - all hope isn't lost. I think.

Last year I didn't attend the Maker Faire. I didn't know about it until a month after it was over. Which was such a bummer because the MythBusters were there.

Hopefully - I will have pictures of something that everyone else in the world hasn't already covered.

Watch the Maker Faire trailer here.

Is it me - or is this guy trying to look like Johnny Depp?

Ok, sorry, I'm a tad jealous.

Totally love that my readers are willing to put out a little smack -talk.

"I can not believe that I am freaking stuck out here on the East coast!!"

At first I was like "oh-no-she-di'int - she lives right in Massachusetts. The backyard of robotics". So I rushed to your site to realize it was Maryland. Not MA. You are right - I do truly suck.

No - but I love it! I've always wanted to do stained glass - but not being and artist, and being so over the flowery stained glass. Well - and that whole pesky time thing - I never got around to it. How can you not love a modern theme on an old art-form? Now if she could just add some blinkey LED lights.

Hey - you could always hope to be re-stationed to the bay area.... closer to your mom. So many interesting robotic shows. And artists coming out of your bum. I mean everywhere.

  3. You know, I'm sure that there's lots of stuff out this way as far as a "Craft Mafia" but it just seems that more of the things I am actually interested in are on the West.

If you are interested in fooling with the whole stained glass thing, Plaid makes a pretty decent faux stained glass product.

"you could always hope to be re-stationed to the bay area...."

We are never leaving here, and I hate that. The military is not so into moving people around as much, those resources need to fund the war.

And if you get tired of it, just peel it off and start over.

  4. MDG - Craft Mafia? I like it.

Yeah - if they relocated you, it probably wouldn't be a good relocation . Not like you get to choose locations or anything.

"And if you get tired of it, just peel it off and start over. "

Somehow it doesn't seem quite as enjoyable as having to pick up shards of glass with your feet for years on end.

Three words you never want to hear in the Air Force:
    "Minot, North Dakota"

  6. Hey - It's like 80 degrees in N. Dakota today. How can that be bad? '-)

Just kidding - when I read your reply I almost shed a tear.

Every once in a while California will have a freak snowstorm, and I will be out playing in it - in shorts. I'm weak!
