I would be lying if I didn't say I was really disappointed in my party. Everyone acting out was a complete distraction that could have been used to tell these dummies the good things Trump has accomplished. Like save their houses. I don't think the Republicans did anything to help Trump. It's really frustrating.  Everything he has done is going to be wiped out. And it turns out the swamp was just vacationing in Cancun.

This economy is so effing levered up, and backdoor Bernie is going to raise taxes on everyone. And I'm gonna laugh when people start losing their houses. Because they should have thought of that shit.

I will be calling the new administration backdoor Bernie. Because all of the financial illiterates have come out to play.  And Kamala doesn't know math. She's never had a real job.

The only fun is knowing that these idiots don't know what is coming for them. People vote against their best interest all the of time. We have never had a recession before where peoples finances were better than pre-ressession. And as you can see from existing home sales.......people don't normally buy houses in the type of climate we have. People are ~all~ technically poorer, but the life saving measures that Trump put in made it so no one lost their houses. In fact sales grew about 26%. Because that makes sense. Obama didn't save anyones houses.

Last night they were talking to a restaurant owner on the old people news who just paid 10 grand to enclose a deck. And now he's not even going to be able to use it because we are all going into lockdown. Yet people are just partying like it's 1999. I would guess that plastic enclosure I just talked about has to be in the 30 grand range.

The world is just completely insane right now.

I was right about California. Biden wasn't going to win in a landslide. When I took this shot Trump got 34.06% of the vote. Now it's up to 34.20%. Funny it's not easy to get this same information from Google. I had to use Bing. 

They still have 3% to count. I think Trump could get 35% which isn't bad for California. Let's audit this State and see what the real number is. If he even made it to 40%, that would be astonishing.

Also, it just occurred to me that if Trump doesn't win, he should run for Governor of California. Now that would be some funny shit.

Winter is probably a restaurant extinction event.

 

Everywhere I have been over the past month or two restaurants are building outdoor dining space. But this one made my jaw drop. It's literally bigger than the whole original restaurant. Which makes me wonder how much that crap costs. I don't know how any of these places are affording the extra costs. But it sure is making inflation look way hotter than it is.

I was picking up take out food a couple of days ago and noticed they had indoor dining. So I asked how long they'd been doing it. She said three weeks but obviously was stressed because "no one wants to eat outside". And we all know everything is getting shut down soon. If your takeout game isn't solid, you probably aren't making it.

I never thought this would go on as long as it has. Not in a million years.

I forget when I got this one because time is infinite yet meaningless.

My rabbits ear is growing rabbit ears.

Lacy is going in for surgery this week to have ..... this .... removed. I have actually been dealing with it for most of the year. I never get normal stuff. It's really just a skin tag. Oddly enough. Apparently they can grow stalagmites. They called it something else. I forget.

In May I had my regular vet try to freeze it off. And nothing happened. By the time I needed to bring her back, everybody was in serious lockdown. All of a sudden you had to smuggle your pet into the back door of the clinic, and you can't come in. You think things are crazy in normal medical land, try needing something for your bunny. Vets obviously are ALL in the high risk category, so I get it. It takes a long time to become a vet. 

When my next appointment time had arrived they called to say they were out of freeze spray and didn't know when they were getting more.  Because supply chains broken.

A couple of months passed and this thing started to grow wings, and I tried to schedule it to be burned off, and I found out the bunny anesthesiologist had retired and they were sending me to their sister clinic in another city. 

If I had to go to someone I didn't know I might as well try a different vet in my city who has a special exotic ward. Which I am. But I'm fairly anxious. It's right by her ear vein. And I have never even put eyes on this doctor. Only a phone convo. I've been waiting for her surgery for a month.

I guess I'm going to wade back in....

At the risk of alienating EVERYONE.

I haven't been writing down my thoughts the past few months because I'm just frustrated. I was hoping by now the election would be over and I could talk openly without getting harassed by people in my own party. 

I'm extremely frustrated that we are 9/10 months into this virus and we are still fighting about the exact same exact shit. This whole thing has just turned into a fuck you - no FUCK YOU - match. And I get it. As a Republican in CaliforniaI understand being mistreated by the other side. But the last few months ~our~ side has just been obnoxious. And I can't figure out who they belong to. Never Trumpers, anti vaxers, tea party. I'm not sure. But, Trump was the only candidate that could have pulled from both parties, and this behavior turned a lot off people. No one could have possibly believed the virus was a hoax and that it was going away without a vaccine. Right? It defies common sense! Everyone could see with their stupid eyes this wasn't going away. 

For a group that talks about their "freedom" to not wear a mask, it's become depressingly clear that property rights are completely dead. I wouldn't dream of stepping on someones' property and not abiding by their rules. And I guess I feel like if you think wearing a mack infringes on your freedom, you don't quite understand what freedom is about. 

I'm honestly pissed that Trump didn't get out in front of this virus issue and say - this virus is serious, but thankfully manageable. Do the responsible thing. That he even let this be a talking point for the Dems is fucking irritating. The whole thing has been a fucking distraction that could have been used to beat Biden around the head about selling America out to every other fucking nation. I honestly didn't even think this guy had a chance. And yes I do believe in voter fraud. Every single person believes in voter fraud until their guy is winning. If he just would have told people to follow protocols, we could have all voted in person.

And then finally.... if Trump doesn't prevail with recounts, not a single person on earth has been talking about this economy. It's like we are living a fever dream. Trump has thrown everything financially at this economy including the kitchen sink. I would dare say that he has printed more money than Obama now and it is so deeply irritating because if people would just fucking stop acting out we could try to get back to some type of normal. I railed at Obama for eight fucking years over this kind of money printing. And now people just think it's normal. Bush really did destroy capitalism.

Biden is never going to be able to reproduce the enthusiasm that Trump is able to produce. What financial runway does he even have?! And he gets to try to shut down the country because people couldn't fucking act right.

Additionally I'm pretty annoyed with this narrative if people can protest, I can ignore the protocols. It's just another form of acting out. How are we suppose to break that shit up? Tell me? How? And to some degree we don't care if those people get infected. 

People have it in their power right now to make things better, but they just won't. It's astonishing honestly. Two years ago EVERYONE wanted to save the world. Buuuut..... not if it means wearing a mask I guess. Some days/weeks the world is just really disappointing. Good job America.

 I think it's safe to say that Californians ruined Nevada. Georgia and Arizona.

On the flip side..... California voting was the most rational I've ever seen it. They voted down rent control and affirmative action. And when I say "they" of course I vote but what I think doesn't matter. Obvi. 

On the whole I was shocked those didn't pass. But glad. Again Obvi.

Something worse than rats.

 Last week one of my snap traps in the garage triggered. I have to keep traps in there because mice apparently love new car wiring. I don't keep any food out there. They just protect the Audi. The trap was by the garage door, but whatever triggered it dragged the trap to the fire door. And it was the large size trap, so whatever it was was big.

Then we started finding these ginormous poops. The kind that make you a little frightened about what's living out there. We think it's probably super rats at this point.

We want to get this problem solved quickly because winter is coming. That just makes more of them. So we put out a large sticky trap. Normally we don't use these because they tend to trap other things. Like birds. But the trap was going to be in our sheltered garage and snap traps can take a little while to work.

Night one - the trap disappears. Completely gone.

Night two - again the trap vanishes. But we were able to find one of them eventually.

Night three - we put another sticky trap out with a chocolate chip in the middle because.... what doesn't like chocolate? A few hours later we hear flapping in the garage. Out we go to investigate.

I open the fire door and I can see it's right there behind the door and he's BIG! Mr S. gets ready to dispatch it, and then I see the teeth@! Fuuuuuck. It's a baby opossum. And he's MAD! How would we even begin to get this thing off the sticky trap?

It runs off and we have to regroup.  I have no problem killing mice or rats because there will be a million more. But opossums.... what the hell do I do with that?

We just decide to leave it in the garage and see what happens. But I'm freaked out to go out there because I'm sure this little ankle bitter is going to come out from under the car and take revenge.

Day 1. Nothing. 

Day two  - Nothing.We think it might have left.

Day three? The sticky trap with the chocolate chip just reappears behind the fire door. I guess he got himself dislodged. Apparently these things have super rodent strength, because those sticky traps are crazy sticky. But why the hell is this thing living in my garage anyway?

The night crawls.

 

If you are wondering who buys the 300 dollar skeleton from Home Depo...... It's this guy. I was hoping I would see one this year. I have to admit - it would be funny to see an army of them.
