Who even knows what happens now.

That's almost all the percent!

The sad thing is - oil could fall to ZERO and California would still pay 2.45 a gallon for gas due to all the taxes. I might be being dramatic but....you get the idea.

  1. But ....I told you why. Talk to your government. Isn't there something like 2 bucks in taxes on every gallon?

    COOF excise taxes COOF :-)

COOF COOF COOF and we continue to dance the masochism contango COOF COOF COOF :-)

Premium (93 octane) is still over $2 per gallon around here, but not by much.

Want to see how bad this situation is?

Bring up MarineTracker and take a look at how many tankers are just sitting around the world right now.

There are several hundred high capacity tankers that are being used as floating crude oil and refined fuel storage just because there isn't enough on-land storage capacity.

The only reason that production hasn't slammed into a storage capacity wall so far has been the existence and availability of these tankers, because on-land storage has already been pushed to its limits.

Also, supply chains have structural costs associated with them ...

... which is something that Snarkie now probably gets, even when I told her a few months ago that those Italians she was dealing with were being super-special nice to her for selling to her via direct channels.

BTW, Ferrari only snubs you because they can't make enough from you that it actually matters, and so your continued waving of cash at them doesn't really impress them because they understand the structural costs of being in their markets.

"YOU ARE NOT THE TARGET MARKET" ... ahahahahahaha. :-)

  3. Yeah.... I'm not waving crash at them. I do think it's imprudent for anyone to turn down business because well.... you never really know when you are going to REALLY need that business. And Ferrari is not my automaker of choice anyway. So... meh.

Oh, but get this: Ferrari made some of the stuff in my home and office.

On the outside, it looks perfectly normal.

Open it up and it's all Ferrari-made parts inside.

So Ferrari actually took some of my cash. :-)

It's actually super mundane: the Ferrari parts are inside furniture, but not that type of furniture, and you can't see the Ferrari parts from the outside.

The parts actually have the Ferrari logo on them, all of the plastic bits are in Ferrari red, and there's chrome, lots and lots of chrome.

Ferrari also does industrial design contract work.

But me with a Ferrari barcalounger in the office?

I'd never be able to get the marketing guys out of it. :-)
