What a bullshit story.

Next year will be hard on the housing market, especially in these big cities.

"Home sales will drop, the housing shortage could become the worst in U.S. history, and home values will shrink in some cities. That’s the 2020 forecast from realtor.com, which holds one of the largest databases of housing statistics available.

Sales of existing homes will fall 1.8% from 2019, according to the forecast. Home prices will flatten nationally, increasing just 0.8% annually, but prices will fall in a quarter of the 100 largest metropolitan markets, including Chicago, Dallas, Las Vegas, Miami, St. Louis, Detroit and San Francisco."

If the reason was really due to a shortage - prices would rise. Not fall. And we are in a shortage to be sure. But no one says - we are in a shortage - lets lower the price.  If there is a shortage and the prices go down - that is due to a lack in demand despite the shortage.

  1. Tesla owners: There's a long line of cars and it's all because of you.

Can't wait to see some of the reviews of the Madonna Inn in SLO after this.

"The hotel was OK, not great, not terrible, but having my car barricaded in its parking spot by Tesla-owning assholes looking for their energy fix? WOULD NOT RECOMMEND."

  2. This is with only 400,000k teslas in total on the road. I continue to believe that electric cars are for people who don't have a lot going on. It is a market, but an unrealistic one for most consumers. I'd be pissed if my trip added an extra hour or two just for charging. THATS WHY I SPEED.

  3. Let's have some more fun with the Elektro Vehicle Follies!

Don't turn around, Der Kommissar's Schwarzer GrĂ¼ner Bus has arrived in Germany, and you'd better move out of the way, macht schnell: Meet the Fulda "Elektrobus".

So it's just like a Tesla: a petroleum-powered vehicle will need to tow it eventually, which presumably is the "future" (zukunft) that's advertised on the side of it. :-)

There are some moderately well-funded fools out there in YouTube Land who thought it'd be a good idea to invest in a little Generac portable generator that can kick out a few amps of mostly Tesla-compatible 120V AC power, just for an emergency, because it sounds like a workable plan ...

Because of Tesla-imposed charging limits, the use of 120V AC power instead of 240V AC, and other related bullshit, the most this little generator can do is enough to charge the vehicle at a rate of 2 miles per hour of charging.

This means that if they break down 50 miles from what passes for civilization, in this case a more beefy power plug, it will take them over two days to charge up enough to reach it.

Despite this awesome non-performance, they've set out in their Tesla with their Small But Mighty Generac "emergency backup system" while also towing a trailer.

Like you said, these are toys for people who have a lot of time to waste.

But those two outlets on the generator won't go to waste: they can use one of them to recharge one of their phones so they can call AAA for a tow ... OH, BUT WAIT, you can't, because one of the plugs has to be used for a ground-to-neutral plug adapter thing just to get the Tesla to charge at all.

"BUT OMG THE TESLA CAN SNAP YOUR HEAD BACK FROM ZERO TO SIXTY IN THREE SECONDS"

That's supposed to be impressive these days?

Also, apparently if you rebuild a salvaged Tesla, your vehicle's VIN will eventually be blacklisted from the super chargers ... because why?

    Because Tesla says so!

Maybe that's why I'm always fucking with Tesla owners on the roads: their vehicles are such precious little things that anything that'd be relatively minor with another vehicle actually totals out a Tesla, and so these drivers only pretend to be fierce and aggressive on the road.

So, a broken bumper, a cracked radiator, a leaky battery pack cooling hose, and some other minor frame and suspension work?

    Yeah, that Tesla's completely totaled.

Compare this to a 1926 Nash ... what an incredible car, because not even destruction in a fire could keep a 1926 Nash off the road.

Why bring up such a relic like a 1926 Nash? Because for 1926, the Nash was the Tesla Model S of its time because of engineering that hadn't made it into other vehicles.

Once Tesla eventually goes bankrupt, how long until they're even more of a rarity on the road than a DeLorean?

At least you can still get spare parts for a DeLorean without offending some Chief Demonic Prelate at the company HQ, and you don't need to seek out special charging facilities for one either.

So despite how much you hate the DeLorean, you should hate the Tesla a lot more ...

Also, everyone I've ever met who owns a Tesla is some kind of walking penis. :-)

  4. Tesla will never go bankrupt now. The world favors conmen. You can now call anyone anything as long as you out JK at the end.

    This is our world now.
