Round up your shopping posse People!

California just can't be talked out of it's ridiculous ideas. Now we have shopping carpoolioke. Luckily they shaved down the handicapped spots which I guess is a win for everyone. Said in the most sarcastic way. But it was super odd that there were more carpool spots than even EV spots. Which makes sense don't you think?

  1. Holy crap that is intense. Criminal background checks to buy gold? I thought a lot of those countries were trying to come out of negative interest rates since the US refused to go. I don't even know what to say about that. With antics like that I'm guessing Germany won't emerge for them very soon.

I had not seen that. Thanks for passing along. It will be interesting to see what happens after the New Year.

  2. There's also a Chinese rural bank crisis that's promising to be interesting in 2020, and maybe it'll eventually make its break into the American media.

The only place I've seen this discussed even semi-seriously in mainstream English-speaking media has been on Australia's SBS.

June 2019 news segment on Australia's SBS about Baoshang Bank.

Lots of Bullion Stackers are talking about this, but pretty much nobody else.

There are over five hundred rural Chinese banks in some kind of dire straits according to those in the know, and they control roughly one-seventh of the total capital in China.

So will die Deutschesbankensystemimplosion(tm) be first?

  3. I don't know. This is going to be a real nail biter. On one hand Germany is in a pretty severe recession. On the other - the US trade war is the least of China's worries right now. China had the advantage of the path of least resistance. They've sort of had a monopoly because everyone had been moving in the same direction for so long. I don't think that is currently going to be the case moving forward. Everyone thinks it will just go back to the way it was. And I don't think that. I think a lot of business got done there just because it was the way we've always done things. Trump basically broke the spell. And it's not just the US. I think China's hostilities lately haven't helped them.

I think I'm going to go with China for 500 Alex.

  4. Jeffrey Epstein's assassin: Man of the Year in 2019!

But apparently "she" will have to hang the award "herself" ...

... because that award just won't hang itself. :-)

Oh, yeah, I was in a town recently where a big box store had reserved parking for Los Puercos Azules, military veterans, people with handicapped permits, and pregnant women ...

Parking for everyone else started eight spaces back.

I think the only reason they can get away with it is that it's a building supply store.
