Motorcycle riding robots.

SRI International has to be one of the most amazing companies in Silicon Valley. Still. They have been around as long as I can remember. SRI is old school Silicon Valley. And they never disappoint me.

They are trying to make motorcycles safer by testing them with robots. Because when motorcycles can go 200 MPH you need some way to push things without killing your testing guys.

  1. It's funny how they could figure out how to get it to ride the bike, but they still need three people to launch it. Interesting use of robotics. I bet the crash videos at 200 mph would be gnarly. DF

  2. Yeah I noticed that too. But it might because having the robot throttle up would take too long. I'm just guessing. I think the guy I talked to said the motorcycle goes 0-100 in 2.5 seconds.
