I thought you wanted to burn it all down.

NBC Reporter Goes To Crimea, Shocks Viewers By Telling The Truth.

"NBC News journalist Keir Simmons recently went to Crimea and reported that most Crimeans are pro-Russia."

It seems the only place they want to burn down is the US. Republicans used to be the party of freedom, but now they are only the party of freedom to infect their own fellow man.

I am completely astonished that conservatives are spitting out this propaganda now. Everyone knows people in that area are not free to speak their minds. And why do we even care what the orientation os the people in Crimea are? It's stolen land.

If I'm Zelinsky, I'm taking back Crimea, and toppling Russia if I think I can. Why Americans are against this is what I'm trying to figure out. I want to know why conservatives are so invested in keeping Putin in power. Why do we give a fuck?

I mean, Tucker Carlson is on the news every week supporting Russia over Ukraine, because apparently Ukraine is more corrupt than Russia. Said in the most sarcastic way.

I understand not wanting to send out our sons and money to Ukraine, which is fair. But Russia started this, and now that we see how weak Russia is - why not let them topple? That place is a complete Potemkin village! And if they wouldn't have started this war - we would have never known, and would be left living in fear the rest of our lives. LET THEM FALL!

The state of their military is so dusty, I can only imagine what they nuke capabilities are. It's almost more likely they'd blow themselves up. Yet it seem like Republicans are doing everything in their power to keep Putin in Power. WHY?

  1. Little history lesson. Like when large counties or empires are split up or chunks broken off, you have enclaves of their people now being considered part of the population of the countries said land was given to. Example end of WWI Germany, there were enclaves of Germans who were now considered Polish, Austrian, French due to territory lost. Same thing happened with the Soviet Union. Crimea, and the other two sections were and are majority native Russians, not original Ukrainians.

A good leader takes care of his people and makes sure if there are some living elsewhere that they are kept safe too. Note I said a good leader, not necessarily a moral one. And for all his faults Putin is an excellent leader. Seeing as he took Russia and pulled it from the wreckage it was left in, to a major power once more.

So back to history. In 2014 Ukraine had an election. The winner was a pro-Russian president. Did the Russians interfere with their election. No idea, doesn't really matter either as its not our country. What does matter is what came next. Our beloved State department staged a coup, overthrowing the new president and installing an actor as the new president. What followed was for the next 7 years the pro-Russian territories, filled with Russian Natives were attacked, mortared, denied services, by the new Ukrainian President.

Putin is an excellent leader, he is currently protecting Russian Natives, his people who were under attack. It doesn't matter his past, it doesn't matter if there were other objectives. For his people, the Russian people, he is an excellent leader because he is keeping them from being massacred.

You say Russia started this. I disagree, native Russians were being killed for 7 years prior, the two territories that broke free did so legally, they choose to leave and choose to join Russia. When Ukraine continued to attack them Russia joined the fight. If your foolish enough to believe the propaganda about how badly Russia is doing, well that's on you, but you would think after the first half a dozen propaganda pieces were proven false you would learn to ignore the media.

As for Tucker, he is right about Ukraine. Here is why this is an issue. If they are both corrupt and have no ties to us, then fine it doesn't matter. But in this case Ukraine is corrupt and tied to Biden and his ilk. That is not just a problem, but a major one. That is why that is important.

We shouldn't be in this fight in any way. They aren't our people, they aren't our allies, we don't have defense packs with either. I don't know why our so called leaders seem to have a hate boner for Russia, but it doesn't matter. We have no dog in this fight, and frankly sending money, weapons, and troops to Ukraine will come back to bite us in the end. Oh and yes the so called "Retired US Military personnel" fighting as mercenaries in Ukraine I mean come on, this isn't the 1960s of course they are still active US personnel, just when they die and they have been they are being called Mercenaries for deniability purposes.

  2. Thank you for your thought provoking reply.

When I talk about Russia being weak, I'm not following the media. I'm not following ANY propaganda. I'm making my judgement based on what should have been a quick decisive win for Russia. I'm also looking at the military grave yards and wondering if Russia truly IS a military power outside of nukes. I mean... that guy has been reduced to "I'm gonna nuke you - I'm totally serious". That is a sign of weakness.

Maybe he is a good leader for Russians, (who knows) but they don't seem to want to fight for their country either. The minute they tried to draft people, they fled. This is not a sign of a strong military, Or a citizenship that wants to fight for said country.

So... in my opinion, Putin is not a good leader because he doesn't really have the support of his people. Clearly.

And I'm just having a hard time understanding Ukraine being the aggressor, when this first started I thought they would just wipe Ukraine off the map. Russia was one of those countries that had "overwhelming power". Now we can see this is not true.
