Bad enough I have to compete with H-1's and greencard holders for jobs along with gotta hire 'vag' for government run affirmative action. He should have a clear cut case because his career is ruined in Sillicon Valley.

I think google just single handedly crushed speech at that company. No one is going to talk about anything now for fear of being fired. Google has literally become more powerful than the government. It only sucks that it could take decades for them to spiral out.

I saw that story last night about the street. It was all over the local news. I'm not sure if that's a great deal or not. If the neighbors start bitching about road improvements they could bankrupt him pretty quick. So, it will be interesting how this turns out.

I'd try to flip that street before the rich people figured out a way to bankrupt me.she said:https://www.blogger.com/profile/15003430767746896739noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8049802.post-44826965021803624432017-08-08T00:04:22.924-07:002017-08-08T00:04:22.924-07:00BTW, this may amuse you.

On the up side, they could guaranteed parking and valet services 24 hours per day. :-)Capital of Texas Refugeenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8049802.post-35153754675091097332017-08-07T23:50:02.541-07:002017-08-07T23:50:02.541-07:00Let's get one thing out of the way: I hope thi...Let's get one thing out of the way: I hope this guy wins his wrongful termination lawsuit or gets a big, fat payout from Google to stay shut up about it.

The male engineers I know who are still in their fields pretty much gave up on hooking up with any of the females in their offices, let alone doing anything more serious.

One figured out that the Society for Creative Anachronism would help him meet more interesting women, and he married the cutest, nerdiest woman who looked good in medieval clothing he could find. Another started volunteering for charity construction projects and met someone who liked getting her hands dirty. Others took up distance hiking, whitewater rapids boating, IPSC shooting, pretty much anything to get them away from the people in the office.

Some of them took what was available -- one was happy to wife up the cute and petite stripper who had been hanging out with my extended social group. Another got interested in one of the female firearms safety instructors who was part of it. And let's not forget the habit of system admins marrying other system admins, just as long as they don't work at the same places -- it's so predictable that you can already guess the names of their future kids.

Now because of the fact that most of their social ties don't involve their work, they spend less time there and are less willing to put up with spending any time there other than what's absolutely required.

So yeah, if Google wants to create an environment where every male engineer will not stay even one minute past the point that is absolutely necessary, they're doing a damned fine job of it.

But it's OK because those women they work with will pick up the slack, amirite?
Capital of Texas Refugeenoreply@blogger.com
