They know you don't have to wait in a line right? Amazon will just send you stuff. Said in the most sarcastic way.

Robots, Rabbits and Sarcasm. Come for the snark - stay for the random punctuation and nonlinear narrative. Don't say I didn't warn ya.
It's Amazon Books, Amazon's solution for people who don't like browsing for books online ...
ReplyDeleteMy take on Amazon Books is that if your reading selections are so mainstream that they can be serviced by Amazon Books, you could probably stick to e-books and skip the book stores entirely.
I go to book stores for what I can't get at mainstream book stores like B&N and this weird Amazon Books thing.
Besides, there are only a few book stores in America that would be worth that kind of wait to get in, such as Powell's Books in Portland and Seminary Co-op in Chicago.
Now that I'm not in America, if it weren't for The Rona Borders Problem, I'd be up for a browse at Waterstone's on Piccadilly ... both of them.
But they too will just send you stuff.
I just didn't know waiting in line to buy books was a thing at all.
ReplyDeleteIts just more Rona Theatre: maximum building occupancy that's minimal.
ReplyDeleteYeah. Agree. But this whole mall was actually pretty packed. That was the only place with a line.
