This is how Silicon Valley used to view government.

This whole Twitter thing is just weird because Silicon Valley used to be about breaking away from the government. Now they are acting like they ARE the government. It's gross.

I have been moving stuff around at Che' Snarkolepsy and found this in a box this week. Sometimes I feel like I'm misremembering how independent the internet was back in the day. Finding this made me feel like - nope, I'm not crazy.

  1. Twitter ostracizes and fires people found to be conservative or libertarian. They censor and silence opposing viewpoints and use 'equality' to justify when it's the exact oppposite. They editorialize, publish and provoke. They ARE a publisher and they should have no more protection than any other publisher.
    Sue the shit out of them.

    Section 230 should be nuked from orbit. The President is NOT exceeding his authority.

  2. I am extremely free market, but I think he should go further. I hope he is laying the ground work to split them up. I just don't know how another company could even get their foot in the door to compete against them. They own the government basically. And the internet. All traffic on it goes through them in some way. They make the rules. If they want to destroy you - they will.

    I feel the free market should be the first line of destroying a company, but there is a point where we are powerless. Split them up.

  3. Twitter, Facebook and Google all control the communications that go out over their networks. Opposing views are allowed.

    Twitter is not the government, but they are practicing.

  4. They are not the government. But they do own a bunch of politicians.

  5. Oakland, San Jose, etc.

    What LOVELY places.

    she said, tex, rob,

    just read a really good book that addresses some of this. It's by Bain Darrell and Geral Mills.
    It's called "The Focus Factor"

    As for gettinga copy of it? I Got lucky.

  6. Bullshit.
    Owned by.

    you think the freedom of makes free?
    no. it does not.

    systems that are regulated always die.

  9. ::I feel the free market should be the first line of destroying a company, but there is a point where we are powerless. Split them up.""

    If I should fall today.
    over the hills and far away.

    It has been generations since that has happened Lady.
    It tightens the time ..
    “Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And, weak men create hard times.”

  10. I remember a smelly ass and another with horns and a shithole with a licence SATAN stopping the school bus
    entropy, as in a moment, displaying itself.

    and the Human.

    on it's way.

    I'd come all claws and maw for people of good will. Where are>?

  11. I, unfortunately;

    have smelled and seen death.

    the long gasp.
    the guts out and screams for surcease.

    So have many people.

    What I think seems not to matter.
    The 'Media' seems to matter.
    not who or what nor whom from.
    but where but from the toy of ratings to how it makes it so.
    It's where to smell of it that matters to them.
    is why.
    A reporter

    reporting as a man dies thrown half out of the car.
    They report...

  12. As for they own all traffic,

    Should the Government own the traffic?

    I think all traffic should bet at least 256

    maybe base 7 and add ...

    snark snark

  14. 1. "Speak now, Eldir, | for not one step
    Farther shalt thou fare;
    What ale-talk here | do they have within,
    The sons of the glorious gods?"

    Eldir spake:
    2. "Of their weapons they talk, | and their might in war,
    The sons of the glorious gods;
    From the gods and elves | who are gathered here
    No friend in words shalt thou find."

    Bale and hatred | I bring to the gods,
    And their mead with venom I mix."

    Loki spake:
    5. "Bethink thee, Eldir, | if thou and I
    Shall strive with spiteful speech;
    Richer I grow | in ready words
    If thou speakest too much to me."

    7. "Why sit ye silent, | swollen with pride,
    Ye gods, and no answer give?

    And here in Ægir's hall,
    Thine head would I bear | in mine hands away,
    And pay thee the price of thy lies."

  15. And here in Ægir's hall,
    Thine head would I bear | in mine hands away,
    And pay thee the price of thy lies."

    Tell me.

    Could they be the most idiot
