Explore or ignore?

Every house gives you a bit of an Easter egg. At first I thought it was sheer wall strapping, but it seems like just a hole. Or a gateway to hell.

I mostly want to pretend I didn't see it. But every once in a while you find some interesting stuff inside of a wall. More likely it's a headache.
