Are ‘Taxifornia’ taxpayers feeling tapped out?.

Locally, a number of tax and bond measures also were failing."
People! This is a huge day. I have never seen a tax Californians didn't pass. NEVER! Not only did a school bond measure fail, they also rejected a tax for mass transit! What is happening?! I can only wonder if a lightbulb finally went off now that people actually have to pay for these things in their property taxes.
I say "they", but I always vote no on all spending measures. It doesn't matter how much it tugs at my heart strings.

I was starting to think they would never stop spending money. It feels really hopeless when you are the only one voting no. I even get hit with the cap and I voted for it in the hopes that if people had to pay they would stop voting yes for everything.
High taxes?

Oh my GAWD! I just officially got off restriction from mine. Three years. I was having a social conversation with a Sheriff the other day and it took everything I had to not ask how long that stays on my record. It just seemed like they get asked those questions all the time and I didn't want to be an asshole. But I can't promise I'm never going to do that again. I just hope I won't get caught. It was a little better when I was blissfully aware of how much that can cost. 100 grand will make you butthurt though.
