The bottle was pressurized when it was bottled. It was placed in a freezer for awhile. Since it was frozen the freezing temperature was lowered beyond 32f/0-Cent.
When he opens it and touches some regular ice, it re-acclimates to the normal pressure and hits something that will allow it's freezing--the ice in the glass.
you can do it yourself if you can find a glass bottle of water that you can pressurize.
